One Response to “How to release the one thing that stops us succeed”

I am totally new to hypnotherapy, and am considering buying a CD for Depression (among other things). Since I am so wary of this method, I’ve been checking out a few people & came across you & your blog. So far, you seem sincere, honest & for the most part, understandable- a prerequisite for me. This particular video, “How to release the one thing that stops us succeed” hit the nail on the head! I got so excited that I had to share~
I have been battling with negative thoughts all my life. (I’m 49 now -female.) I’ve always known I was a good person, but could never figure out why these neg thoughts were so persistent & ongoing. They’d come around & then I’d shut down trying to suppress them. Over MANY years of battle with myself & beating myself up for having them, I have finally learned that I am not my thoughts, I HAVE them. ‘BIG difference! Then, I don’t remember how, I developed the same statement you shared in this video. With past years of trial & error, I have found this to be the most direct route to take -in handling the negative, repetitive, looping, hindering “thought(s)” -so I can move on. I actually get un-stuck. -And I always add on FIRMLY to my response, “…Because this is not working for me.” I then use my eyes (get out of my head) & re-focus on what I’m doing. I concur; it works. (I do have to say, I do take a low dose of meds for depression. I couldn’t do this quick technique without them. I have Major Depression; it’s in the family.)
Why am I looking here? Well, I can dismiss the thoughts, but they still come around. I have no motivation, no interests, …I’m a super procrastinator… Summer recess is coming & I want to start on a new foot. (I have 2 sons & a husband I’m barely trying to help.) I want to have NEW thoughts, not the same old ones I’ve recorded a long time ago & obviously can’t seem to erase. I’ve come to the conclusion that I need help; I can’t do this on my own. Hey, thank you for your time; I appreciate it. (If you have any thoughts to share, I’m interested.) ~Gin
